A Crazy Rich Asians Reading List
I’m late to the party on Crazy Rich Asians, but that doesn’t curb the obsession. As of writing this, I’m on book three Rich People Problems—and it’s got me hook, line, and sinker. The most obvious Crazy Rich Asians reading list is the books themselves. However, book two presented a book list that caught my eye.
2024 Book Roundup
It’s the end of 2024 which means it’s time to recap the year in books! I’ve talked before about not meeting your Goodreads goals and how we should all give ourselves a little bit of grace. And I stand by that. But that doesn’t mean we don’t celebrate the little wins, and gush about the books we loved. So, welcome to my 2024 book roundup!

But Always a Friend: Why Mr. Knightley Rules
Mr. Knightley rules, and I don't think you will ever change my mind. He rules, for a variety of reasons, not the least of which being his friendship to Emma throughout the novel and her various ups and downs.

Book Review: “The Sisters Brothers” by Patrick deWitt
The Sisters Brothers is an irresistible tramp through the wild west with a setting and characters we've never seen.

“All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr
The first word that comes to mind when I reflect on Anthony Doerr’s All the Light We Cannot See is Symphony.

The Language of The Road
Cormac McCarthy's The Road is definitely an experience. Unique in both story and style, The Road holds your attention from start to finish with its haunting scenery, suspense, and human relationships—to others as well as God—after the apocalypse.

Review: The Little Village of Book Lovers
Emotions, states of being, and other non-tangible entities are hard to relate to as the reader, so I can't imagine it's easy to get into their heads and hearts as a writer. Beyond that epiphany, however, I did enjoy this trip back into some part of the Little Paris Bookshop world.

Review: A Gentleman in Moscow
A Gentleman in Moscow was such an oddly inspirational book, so I had to write a little review to celebrate the adaptation release!
“The Dressmaker” by Rosalie Ham
Set in Dungatar, Australia, Rosalie Ham’s honest portrait of the hypocrisy and lies amongst the people of the tiny town can be jarring at times, but also incredibly entertaining.

The New & Ruined Persuasion
Anne is amazing, we should all be striving to be Anne – just not the one from the 2022 adaptation of Persuasion. I don’t know who she is.
