austen, etc.

Where to begin? My love for books grew slowly. When I was younger and in school, I hated reading. Not because of reading itself, but because I was (and still am) a s l o w reader. I mean, slow. This made it difficult to enjoy any of the books I read and ultimately soured me to the whole thing. Until the end of middle school and high school.

A friend handed me Jane Eyre and I was pulled back into the book world. Then I read various Jane Austen novels and there was no going back. Personally, I find it hard not to love Austen and her masterpieces. The cleverness, the keen observation, the honesty, and the romance create a world you want to be inside at all times regardless of the bad stuff.

Mr. Darcy, Mr. Knightley, and Captain Wentworth don’t hurt either 😉.

From my love of classic novels grew my love of everything else. The etcetera. Now, I do my best to not only read as much as possible, but write about it, too.

It helps, as well, that I became a writer as a profession, so it all comes together to be a huge part of who I am.

I hope you keep reading. ❤️
